How does AIRank test Claude?
AIRank asks Claude your customers’ questions through Anthropic’s API with the web search tool enabled, with the settings recorded for that assessment. Every answer and its linked sources are saved in your report. If Claude declines or fails to answer, that question is marked unavailable and not counted against you.
Why does Claude name other businesses instead of mine?
Claude builds its answer from the pages its search returns, so the businesses it names are the ones those pages describe clearly. Open the sources Claude cites for your question: if they are directory listings or local “best of” articles that leave you out, those listings are worth checking.
- Claude-SearchBot is blocked by robots.txt or by a firewall rule aimed at AI bots in general.
- Your services and city are only mentioned in images, PDFs or navigation menus rather than page text.
- Directories and review sites that Claude cites list competitors but not you, or list your old details.

Does Claude always search the web?
No. Web search is a capability that must be enabled. A plain Claude answer without search reflects its training data, not current web sources.
Which AI assistants do you check?
ChatGPT, Gemini, Claude and Perplexity, through each vendor's API with web search where the vendor offers it. Every report names the assistants that actually answered; an assistant that fails is marked unavailable, never counted against you. Google AI Overviews is not tested.
Do you guarantee that AI will recommend my business?
